Our Garrett GT28R based bolt on turbo kit is unmatched for the money in the market in terms of power, reliability, drivability, and functionality.

Powered by world renowned G.I.A.C. software, there are no sacrifices with this kit. All engine, ABS, and traction control features are retained, and there are no permanent modifications needed to the vehicle.

When coupled with the AWE Tuning Front Mounted Intercooler and AWE Tuning Catback Exhaust System, this kit produces a repeatable 290 crank hp and 280 crank tq on 92+ octane. In order to maximize power gains, our Front Mounted Intercooler is highly recommended for users that see very hot outside temperatures during the year. A cat back or downpipe back exhaust system is required for safe performance.

Why we did what we did
Hundreds of hours of street, track and dyno testing fine tuned this kit’s performance reliability. It is the only kit of its kind that truly delivers what it promises: the best power, performance and longevity per dollar spent.

At the heart of this kit is a GT28R Garrett turbo, chosen to provide an optimum balance of low and high end power when coupled to the relatively small 1.8 liter engine. Engine size must be taken into account when choosing turbo size, and while a larger GT turbo can produce higher horsepower numbers, it comes at the expense of low end power (torque). We wanted to provide a kit that was enjoyable to drive everyday as well as at the dragstrip or roadcourse.

Utilizing a GT28R turbo also allowed us to reuse the stock exhaust manifold without choking exhaust flow. Reusing the stock manifold is one of the main reasons that we are able to provide such a powerful kit at such a reasonable price.

Installation is quite simple, with many proprietary parts designed specifically to interface the GT28R turbo as seamlessly as possible. This is truly a bolt-on kit, requiring no permanent modifications to the vehicle. That means low install costs, OEM-like appearance under the hood, and ease of reverting back to stock if you ever were to sell the car.
